Cloud Phone Systems · Los Angeles, CA
Hosted VoIP and Microsoft Teams Phone set up end to end: provider selection, number porting, desk phones, mobile apps, and a network tuned for clear calls.
Quick answer
A cloud phone system, also called VoIP or a hosted PBX, runs your business phone service over the internet instead of traditional phone lines and an onsite phone box. Calls, extensions, voicemail, and call routing are managed in the cloud, and staff can use desk phones, computers, or mobile apps with the same business number.
Los Angeles IT sets up and supports cloud phone systems for Los Angeles businesses from our Century City headquarters. We help you choose a provider, port your numbers, install phones, and prepare your network. Setup is $95 per hour, and ongoing phone system support is included in our managed IT plans starting at $300/month.

Paging systems →Old Phones vs. Cloud
Many offices still pay for copper lines and an aging phone box. Here's what changes with a cloud phone system.
| Cloud phone system | Traditional PBX and lines | |
|---|---|---|
| Equipment onsite | ✓ Phones only | PBX box, lines, and maintenance |
| Working remotely | ✓ Same number on any device | Calls forwarded to cell phones |
| Adding a user | ✓ Minutes, online | Technician visit |
| Multiple locations | ✓ One system for every office | Separate systems per site |
| Teams integration | ✓ Available | Not available |
| Outages and moves | ✓ Reroute calls instantly | Calls go down with the office |
How It Works
The switch happens on a scheduled day, and your main number keeps ringing throughout.
STEP 01
We review how your team answers calls, which numbers you have, and your internet and network, then recommend a platform.
STEP 02
We order service, submit the number port, test your network for call quality, and build call flows and extensions.
STEP 03
We install and provision desk phones, set up apps on computers and mobile devices, and train staff.
STEP 04
Numbers port on the scheduled date, we test every line, and we stay on as your phone support team.
Pricing
Phone service is billed per user per month by the provider you choose, and desk phones can be purchased or, with some providers, leased. Our setup work, including planning, porting, installation, and network preparation, is $95 per hour, quoted up front.
Ongoing phone system support, user changes, and troubleshooting are included in our managed IT services, starting at $300 per month. We'll compare provider options with you so the monthly cost fits your business.

Tell us how many users and locations you have and what you use today. We'll recommend options and quote the setup. No contracts with us.
Microsoft Teams Phone
If your team already works in Microsoft 365, Teams Phone can replace a separate phone system. Staff get a business number in Teams, calls ring on computers, mobile apps, and certified desk phones, and voicemail lands in Outlook.
We set up the Teams Phone licensing, calling plan or carrier connection, auto attendants, call queues, and devices, and port your existing numbers into Teams.
Call Quality
Most VoIP problems, such as choppy audio, one-way calls, and dropped calls, come from the network, not the phone provider. We check your internet bandwidth and stability, configure quality of service (QoS) on your firewall and switches, and fix settings that interfere with calls.
If your office needs new network cabling or network equipment for phones, our low voltage and network teams handle it as part of the same project.
Emergency Calling
Because VoIP phones can be used anywhere, each phone needs an accurate emergency address so 911 calls reach the right dispatcher. Federal rules also require that multi-line phone systems allow direct 911 dialing and provide a dispatchable location.
We register emergency addresses for each location and set up notifications so a front desk or manager knows when someone in the office dials 911.
